At Wisdom of the Elders, we are proud to stand alongside our friends at Portland Events & Film as they continue to uplift and strengthen the local film industry. Like us, they are dedicated to telling powerful stories and building opportunities for filmmakers and artists across our community.
This month’s Portland Film August Newsletter highlights the return of the Lunch & Learn series, with workshops on grant writing, sponsorships, and event permitting. These sessions are valuable spaces for learning, collaboration, and industry connection.
We also celebrate the Time-Based Art Festival presented by PICA this September, and the recognition of Portland creatives through events like Hip-Hop Week, Montavilla Jazz Festival, and new Oregon-made film releases. Portland Film continues to provide vital resources, from grants to job opportunities, that sustain and grow our region’s creative economy.
