On Sunday, September 14th, our team had the privilege of joining REI Beaverton’s Fall Member Days Event—and what an incredible day it was! From start to finish, the energy was buzzing as members, families, and outdoor enthusiasts filled the store to connect, learn, and celebrate the many benefits of being part of the REI community.

The turnout was fantastic, with hundreds of attendees stopping by throughout the afternoon. Our team had the chance to meet so many passionate people, share our programs, and connect with other organizations and brands who share a love for the outdoors. We truly felt the spirit of community shining through every conversation.

One of the highlights of the day was the lineup of inspiring presentations. People of Color Outdoors led their engaging talk, “Remember the Children,” which reminded us of the importance of helping kids connect with nature for the well-being of both our communities and the planet. Later in the afternoon, our very own team member, Karrie Young from Wisdom of the Elders, guided attendees through a peaceful and grounding Forest Therapy session as part of “Nature as Medicine.” It was powerful to see so many participants step into that moment of calm and reflection together.

Alongside the presentations, the store was alive with activity. Attendees explored vendor tables, checked out the REI member benefits stations, and enjoyed light refreshments from local food and drink partners like La Floridita, Good Wolf, and Deadstock Coffee. The photobooth was another big hit, capturing smiles and memories all afternoon long.

Looking back, we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this celebration. The event gave us the space to share our mission, meet new friends, and deepen our connection with the outdoor community. Most of all, it was simply a joy to see so many people come together in support of nature, wellness, and each other.

We left Beaverton feeling inspired, energized, and excited to carry this momentum forward. Thank you to REI for hosting such a meaningful event, and to everyone who stopped by our table—we can’t wait to see you again soon!
