The world needs bold ideas—and bold young women to bring them to life. This fall, the Girls STEAM Institute® invites girls and young women aged 13 to 26 from around the globe to participate in a first-of-its-kind virtual experience: the Global Team Business Challenge 2025, hosted on the immersive ENGAGEXR platform.
Blending the fast-paced energy of a Startup Weekend with the creativity of a hack-a-thon, this year’s challenge focuses on a powerful theme: She Solves: Mental Health Solutions in the Digital World.
Why mental health?
Mental health is one of the most pressing issues of our time. This challenge aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and calls on the next generation of changemakers to design tech-based business solutions that address mental health challenges in innovative ways.
Who can participate?
Teams will consist of 3 to 5 young women from varied age groups and backgrounds. Participants will be matched with expert mentors from across STEAM industries, providing invaluable guidance, support, and industry insight throughout the challenge.
Early applicants will receive extra benefits.
Encourage early spring applications so participants can access business toolkits, attend virtual meet-ups, and learn to navigate the ENGAGEXR virtual reality space in advance.
