Gerry RainingBird and Rose High Bear

In case you missed our events this month, we will be sure to host more screenings in the new year, so stay tuned.

We had a great turnout at our Native Wisdom Film Screening and Community Consultation at OMSI on November 13th! About 150 people came out to watch our films on the big Empirical Theater movie screen. We also welcomed and introduced new Executive Director Gerry RainingBird to the community that night and the community had a chance to meet him.

On November 16th and 17th, Wisdom spent two days in Salem commemorating Native American Heritage Month at the state capitol, and sharing our Native Wisdom Films. We screened the films for members of Oregon Human Services, Oregon Health Authority, and the Oregon Department of Education. It was a full two days of conversation, awareness, and great feedback from leaders in these communities. We hope to continue building these partnerships and working towards a greater goal of using Native Wisdom Films for educational, health and wellness purposes.

We closed out last week with a screening and community consultation at the Oregon City Public Library, and we had a great and intimate turnout. Thank you to everyone that attended! We hope to continue doing more events with Gina, Jen and the wonderful team at Oregon City Public Library.

We would like to acknowledge and thank our generous donors, funders, and sponsors for helping make our events this past month possible!
