Wisdom Film Screening advance noticeA few Wisdom staff members and volunteers are very busy around here at our offices! We are getting ready for six (yes, count them!) six film screenings and community consultations around our fair city the second and third weeks in April. We will screen two 20-minute films produced by award-winning Lawrence Johnson and Wisdom Productions and hold community consultations with our Native community about local climate issues. We will also hold film screenings for the greater community in partnership with our friends at Multnomah County Sustainability and Environmental Health who will co-sponsor a film screening and discussion with the general public along with Multnomah County Library and perhaps at a second venue. Film screenings and community consultations are also being co-sponsored by PCC Sylvania Multicultural Center, PCC Cascade Native Nations Club, and United Nations University’s Greater Portland Sustainability Education Network (GPSEN).

This is being organized as a part of The Wisdom Project, our Native youth leadership initiative that is providing Native American youth with hands-on outdoor conservation restoration and service learning activities in Portland’s natural areas. Watch for updates on our website.
