Wisdom Workforce Development’s new cohort of Native American adults and crew leaders who are completing our Fall 2016 workforce training program.
Wisdom Workforce Development recruited its second cohort of 8 Native American adults in September. The team is learning habitat restoration during morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon service learning in the 50-foot buffer at Zenger Farm, in Johnson Creek Watershed, in the Lents neighborhood and along the Springwater Trail. We are continuing to appreciate our partnerships with Portland Parks and Recreation, Johnson Creek Watershed Council and also collaborating with Friends of Trees, West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District, North Clackamas Watersheds Council and Green Lents.
